Timothy Jordan is a Senior Advisor to The Margolin Group and Partners Transforming Health, bringing over 20 years of experience in business relationship development, marketing, growth strategies, and forming creative strategic partnerships.
Before joining The Margolin Group and Partners Transforming Health, Jordan spent over seven years with WellPoint, Inc., and its subsidiary Blue Cross of California. Holding a variety of positions in his time there, Jordan managed marketing partner relationships and sports sponsorships for the enterprise at a national level as well as for their various consumer facing brands in local markets. His pioneering work bringing together traditional brand and advertising activities with health related goals culminated in the Fit for Life program he developed in conjunction with the Los Angeles Lakers, which was recognized by the NBA as a best practice. Jordan was also able to implement this strategy with sponsorships the company had with the University of California – Berkeley, UCLA, the Los Angeles Sparks, and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Jordan’s most recent work for WellPoint focused on strategy and innovation serving in the Office of the President for Blue Cross of California. Here Jordan worked on strategic planning for the core insurance business, as well as transformational programs including patient safety, a health screening bus, and health, wellness, and prevention.
Prior to WellPoint, Jordan was an independent consultant and entrepreneur with experience in the digital space, real estate, video gaming, media, and micro digital transactions. He started a commercial products division for an engineering services firm which was later sold to a venture capitalist.
Jordan has an MBA with a specialization in Finance & Marketing from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, as well as a BA in Business Economics with an Accounting Emphasis from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
