Leslie Margolin was the featured speaker at a gathering of the Long Beach Rotary addressing individual, business and community impacts and opportunities under the recently enacted Health Care Reform legislation. Among other critical issues, Margolin focused on the need, and the way, to address system-wide misaligned incentives that, unaddressed, have the crippling effect of separating health care from health coverage, resulting in clinical and administrative duplication, fragmentation and redundancy that adds cost without adding value – and, in some cases, actually causes harm.
