On April 26th, Leslie Margolin addressed ProVisors—the nation’s preeminent professional resource organization of senior level health care advisors. In her address titled, “The Virtues of Virtually Integrated Health Care…With or Without Health Care Reform,” Margolin outlined the health care crisis in the United States and offered a solution to tackle skyrocketing costs despite the possible repeal of the Affordable Care Act. With the cost to cover the typical family of four under an employer plan expected to top $20,000 by the end of this year, Margolin proposed the Care Innovation Corridor’s radical redesign of health, wellness, prevention, benefit design and incentives as an approach to improve care and cut costs. By building true, sustainable, long-term partnerships across the continuum of care and coverage, Margolin explained to an audience of Los Angeles health care experts that the Care Innovation Corridor achieves essential clinical and administrative efficiencies, improves the outcomes and experience of care and creates savings to be shared by providers, patients and payers alike.
